I go to this restaurant every once in a while because they have customizable dishes and it's located in Mekong Plaza, a Chinese marketplace with a great selection of food and small restaurants.
When you order noodles, you can choose what kind of broth you'd like, the type of noodles, and what goes inside. Typically, I enjoy chicken broth with instant-style noodles. I add seaweed and dumplings inside as well.
The reason this place gets only three stars is because the customer service is not great. They don't always pay attention to special details on your order. I always tell the waiters that I don't want any bok choi in my noodles, yet it always somehow ends up in there. The only time I successfully had no bok choi in my noodles was the time I went with my Chinese friend who ordered everything for me in Mandarin.
The most irritating thing? Despite not giving it their all on service, they constantly remind you about tipping when you pay. Each time I sign the receipt and hand it back at the counter, they say, "the tip is not included" and give the receipt back to me. Perhaps I was going to leave the tip in cash on the table (as I do at most places) instead of doing it through the credit card? It just seems like an obvious attempt at fishing for a tip that isn't well-deserved. -

Overall, underwhelming.
I've been eyeing this place for a while but been seeing and hearing mixed reviews. Decided to try to place since friend was planning to go.
Honestly I couldn't even remember what I ordered because it was just not memorable. The soup was watery and tasteless. The tomato soup base was ordered with regular noodle along with some mediocre toppings. For some reason they charge money for getting iced water? I usually don't get iced water but that just seems strange and unreasonable. Hot water or hot tea on the other hand was free. Not sure why.
Service was meh. Didn't come check on us at all after food was served. Left us with empty water cups for the entire meal. Located in Mekong. -

I came here yesterday with some of my friends and I really liked the food here! They give you a paper to fill out what kind of broth you want and what you want in the soup! I got the tomato and pumpkin broth and it already comes with green onion, mushroom, and cabbage. But I did add 4 other things in my soup! You can add two things for free but after that it's an additional $1.45! I loved the tomato and pumpkin broth! It was amazing!
However, this place has really bad service!! They take forever to refill on waters and all they do is just sit at a table and on their phones! So honestly don't tip as much as you need because they literally don't take care of you besides give you the menu and the food! -

This used to be my favorite place to get ramen. After a large gap, I decided to go back and was not as impressed. The service is still the same, which is good. The soup changed a bit. The broth is not how I remembered and they lessened the vegetables in the soup...bummer! The vegetables gave an extra crunch in the soup.

Met some friends here for lunch. This is a 4 step process for ordering: Soup base, Topping, Noodle style & drink. And you can add on any extra appetizer or add-on. I opted for the Chaochou style dried fish & minced pork fish soup base. I had them add the Beef tendon, fish tofu & enoki mushrooms and my noodle choice was the flat rice noodle (fun). My drink was hot tea. I added on pan fried fish puffs (basically balls, but square form). The soup base was really good and seasoned well. I will definitely be back to try another soup based, toppings, noodle and appetizers.
